Lisa Young is a London-based freelance photographer and travel writer. She produces photos, video and articles about her escapades, which have taken her to over 55 countries.

Her most recent trips include; searching on horse back for Jaguar in Brazil’s remote Pantanal region; driving the Australia Way route from Broome in WA to Darwin in the NT; joining the Land Rover G4 Challenge recce team on a drive across Outer Mongolia; becoming a stock woman for a video for Tourism Australia; exploring the revolution trail in Cuba; skiing in the Arctic Circle; accompanying Cape Town's SPCA on animal rescues; sand-driving through Oman's Wahiba Sands; horse safaris in Kenya; riding a Harley through Australia's outback and learning to drive an elephant in Northern Thailand.

Throughout the eighties Lisa lived in New York City, where she worked as a studio manager & first assistant to photographer William Coupon, and worked on photo shoots of celebrities and politicians, including Presidents Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan for Time magazine.

Since then, Lisa relocated to Europe and now her own work features in a variety of publications worldwide, including The Times, the Sunday Telegraph, Scotland on Sunday, The Week, Sunday Times Travel magazine and Harpers Bazaar. Clients have included Warner Brothers, Orient Express and the GSM Association (GSM20 Mobile World documentary and book project). She has photographed and written about a number of subjects, from cultural tribes and development projects to adventure & luxury travel. Photographic projects include the London Eye, the Cheetah Conservation Fund and aid development projects in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Africa.

Film & TV: Lisa's photos have been used on various film and TV sets.

House: Universal Television drama series purchased photographs to be used as part of the set for the 2009/10 seasons.

www.i-escape.com: Lisa is a founding member of the travel website www.i-escape.com. From 2000 to 2003 she spent her time travelling the world photographing and collecting information for the launch of the site and has photographed and written about many of their featured hotels.
